Following our En Masse Summer Series: Pop Up Art Gallery with Hans Koesters- We bring you the second installment Summer Series: Plant Pop Up! It was a joyous celebration of love, greenery, and community! In honor of Pride Month, we decided to do something special- partnering with the talented team at Chicago Plants, experts in Interiorscape Consultation, to transform our En Masse meeting space into a vibrant tropical oasis.
Beyond the festivities, this event held a deeper meaning. We partnered with Chicago House, a remarkable non-profit organization that supports individuals and families impacted by HIV with housing, health, and employment services, raising funds and awareness for their essential work.
Despite the relentless downpour, we harnessed natural light through the lofty sliding doors at the base of the En Masse studio and sent bubbles and tunes floating into California Avenue. Our conference room and coffee bar space transformed into a greenhouse, featuring an array of plants for sale, along with a repotting station and a plant swap station. The diverse selection of greenery brought in by Chicago Plants, including cacti, lush succulents, and pothos, breathed life into the space.
At En Masse, we hold our neighbors and neighborhood close to our hearts. Our aim is to strengthen bonds within the community by supporting local businesses, and use architecture as a means to connect people.
We are eager to continue building on this positive momentum, finding more ways to engage with our neighbors, contribute to our community, and spread the love for the natural world and how it connects to our community and to design.
We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in this event! Stay tuned β there are more exciting initiatives in the works!
With greenery and appreciation,
En Masse
